 Eigenlijk had Yamaha dit er zelf op moeten zetten maar helaas, het zit er nog steeds niet op. Kijk naar de Yamaha Fazer en je ziet dat er simpel en doeltreffend een rubber lap is gemonteerd. Het achterspatbordje is niet bedoeld voor de sier maar om je achterveer en brug te beschermen tegen steenslag en vuil. Het bestaat uit twee delen die over elkaar schuiven. Voor de XJ900S is het onderste deel van metaal en zit dit vast aan de achterbrug. Het bovenste deel is van kunstof en zit vast aan je achterspatbord. Op de bovenste drie foto's zie je de montage stapsgewijs. Bij de uitvoering voor de XJ600S zijn beide delen van metaal. Verkoop is gestopt. Informatie:

|  |  One essential part that's still missing on the Yamaha Diversion, a rear mudhugger. Watch the Yamaha Fazer and you will see that since Yamaha mounts a simple rubber flap on that place. As the name says, the rear mudhugger is to protect the bridge and backspring against dirt and stones. It consist of two parts that moves over each other. For the XJ900S, the lower part is metal and connected to the back bridge. The upper part is plastic and connected to the rear mudguard. On the top three photo's you see in step the installation.
