A mailinglist is an email technique to let people communicate within a closed group. For Yamaha Diversion interested people we offer tow free mailinglists, one for the dutch people and one for communicating with the whole world.
The two memberlists are nearly daily updated. You can see the geographic distribution of the people and perhaps you might see someone in your area.

How it started
I have started the International YDCN mailing list for anyone who wants to talk with other Yamaha Diversion or Seca II owners all over the world. The International list started on March 24, 1996 and has a stable number of around 200 people connected to. Contacts through this list has resulted in the born of the UKDOG (UK Diversion Owners Group) in 1997 and a club visit to the southcoast of England. Inspired by this fact, Gian Lorenzo invited the club to visit Como in 1998. This has resulted in the YDIM, the Yamaha Diversion International Meeting in Como. People from Engeland, Holland, Germany, Swiss, Austria, France and Italy came together, only knowning each other through the mailing list. The follow up was in 1999 with a visit to Austria and in 2000 we will go to France. Also through mailinglist and website we can offer foreign Diversion owners an invitation to visit the yearly held YDCN Dutch Weekend. In 1998 we received 4 English people on our long weekend in Zeeland and this has continued for later years. But the main reason is talking to each other, posting questions and getting answers from all over the world.
Starting on Oct 4th, 1998, a dutch mailinglist is started, for the simple reason that a lot of dutch people are a little bit scary to write in English. The language of the Dutch list is ofcourse Dutch.
What is a mailinglist?
A mailinglist is a conversation through email. If you don't write, you receive daily a number of messages in your inbox. With message filters you can automatically move them into a separate folder. Instructions are giving when you sign up. Posting a message is writing an email to a special email address. This special email address processes the received email and sent it to all subscribers of the list. Subscribing can be done by clicking on the button below. For unsubscribing a simple email to the listkeeper is enough. You can signup and signoff whenever you want.

Hoe het begonnen is
Ik heb de Internationale YDCN mailinglist destijds gestart om Diversion en Seca II eigenaren over de hele wereld de gelegenheid te geven met elkaar in kontakt te treden. De lijst is gestart op 24 maart 1996 en heeft een stabiel aantal van circa 200 abonnees. Kontakten via deze mailinglist hebben in 1997 geresulteerd in de oprichting van de engelse Diversion club (UKDOG, UK Diversion Owners Group) en een bezoek van de YDCN club aan Engeland. Geinspireerd hierdoor kregen we in 1998 van Gian Lorenzo de uitnodiging om Como in Italy te bezoeken. Dat is uiteindelijk uitgemond in de YDIM (Yamaha Diversion Italy Meeting) in Como. Diversion bezitters uit Nederland, Engeland, Duitsland, Zwitserland, Oostenrijk, Frankrijk en Italie kwamen samen in Italie, elkaar alleen maar kennende via internet. Het kreeg een opvolging in 1999 met een bezoek aan Oostenrijk en in 2000 zijn de plannen om naar Frankrijk te gaan. Door de mailinglist contacten zijn we ook in staat geweest om een aantal buitenlanders uit te nodigen om onze bekend "YDCN Dutch Weekend". In 1998 is dat begonnen met 4 engelsen en sinds dat jaar hebben we elk jaar weer wat buitenlandse gasten. Maar behalve dit soort zaken blijft de voornaamste reden het communiceren met anderen, vragen stellen en antwoorden krijgen vanuit de hele wereld.
Op 4 oktober 1998 is de Nederlandse mailinglist van start gegaan. Deze draait naast de Internationale mailinglist. Voornaamste reden was de angst van sommigen om Engels te schrijven. Inmiddels zijn ook op deze mailinglist haast 150 mensen aangesloten.
Wat is een mailinglist?
Een mailinglist is een conversatie via email. Net als in een gesprek hoef je niet te praten maar kan je ook alleen luisteren. Je ontvangt meestal dagelijks 1 of meerdere berichten. Via berichten filters kan je deze berichten automatisch in een aparte folder laten verplaatsen. Instructies ontvang je bij aanmelding aan een of beide mailinglisten. Wil je een vraag stellen, dan stuur je eem email bericht naar een speciaal email adres. Het bericht wordt in Almere doorgestuurd naar alle abonnees van de betreffende lijst. Je aansluiten op de lijst gaat heel simpel door op het knopje hieronder te drukken. Om weer van de lijst afgehaald te worden volstaat een simpel bericht aan de lijst-houder.
