Switzerland - Basle: Michel Kiener [05-Apr-97]
Michel is 44 years old, French- + Swiss-citizen, his wife is a Swiss- + French-citizen. They live in Basle (Switzerland), a town located at the "three countries edge", which is the point where the Swiss, German and French borders meet. Michel owns a 900 Diversion which he uses to go to work every day (included winter, excepted when snow or heavy rain is falling), to go shopping (Giwi side- and top-cases => much room for all kind of luggage) and for tours with his wife. After 10 months, the Divvy already has 11'000 km and never had any problem (just changed a tire). He thinks it's a very good "all purposes bike", of which the only drawbacks are: weak torque under 5000 tours/mn, relatively high weight and unsufficient fairing compared to a BMW touring bike (but much better than nothing). He had the opportunity to ride a XJR 1200 and liked the characteristics of the engine very much. Diversion met de pap lepel ingebracht? De Diversions zijn bij ons sinds 1994 in de familie. Ondertussen rijden mijn ouders en mijn broers allen een Diversion (2x900 en 3x600). Met 5 dezelfde type motoren mag onze mening over deze motor duidelijk zijn! Het begon voor mij tijdens mijn motorrijlessen op de XJ600S. Tijdens de lesperiode werd deze motor verkocht en heb ik deze overgenomen. Nadat ik geslaagd ben, heb ik er een half jaar me rond gereden in Nederland. Tijdens mijn Stage mocht de motor mee naar Portugal voor een half jaar. Hierna ben ik overgestapt op een 900, welke ik mee genomen heb naar Zwitserland. Daar ben ik nu defenitief gaan wonen en heb mijn 900 nu te koop in Nederland. | |
