Foreign Diversion Owners

 Scotland
Scotland - Aberdeen: Carin B.E. Bergdahl [01-Mar-98]
Since 30 october '97 the proud owner of a red 900 after drooling over said bike for more than a year. (Back-hernia op and trouble getting the money from Sweden to here without loosing too much to involved countries...) :) I'm from Sweden, studying computer science, and a year-round motorcyclist. My Divvy gets as bored as I over Almere-Amsterdam every day but being a student also means being able to play the truant and go exploring the country. In 1999 I moved to Aberdeen, Scotland. :) Now all I need is a sense of direction...
Scotland - Buchlyvie: Gordon Bickerton [18-Jun-02]
I have found you site very interesting. I got my (00 Divvy 3 years ago, returning to biking after 34 years away! It was 2nd hand with 24,000 miles on the clock, now it has done 38,000. I have been in contact with someone who's fathers bike has done 450,000 miles! This year I will be touring in the Swiss Alps with my wife on the pillion. I hope she will pass her test soon, she has a Yamaha SR125. Congratulations on a great site.
Scotland - Glasgow: Ian Kinnaird [17-Dec-99]
I ride a '96 Divvy 600N, I bought it in March '99 and have added 7000 miles to the clock before I put it into winter storage. I am a member of XJ Riders chat, to subscribe visit Eisenberg's website. We are also planning an XJ International relay, some of you may already know about it, if not the plan is to send a rucksack around the world, transported where possible by the XJ series of motorcycle. Again, to find out more see Paul's website.
Scotland - Glasgow: Eddie Laverty [22-Sep-98]

Scotland - Glenrothes: <Charlie Snedden [09-Feb-99]
Charlie wrote: Hello All, I bought my first bike in oct 98 after passing my test on the second attempt. Ever since I started taking lessons I had always said I wanted a Divvy, so scraping my pennies together I took a day off work and shopped around. The forth shop had a lovely XJ600S reduced because someone took it for a test drive and dropped it the sedcond they walked through the shop door. Now doing 250 - 300 miles per week all weathers I'm slowly gaining more confidence and now I'm thinking of buying a 900 in 2000..... Thanks for Reading, Charlie ;-)
[11-Jun-07] 2007 : I know back in 99 I said I was looking at a 900, well I have never got round to it and I am still on the Divi 600.....
Scotland - Inverness: Gerry Grant
Gerry bought his 900 Diversion in august 1996. Unfortunately, the local Yamaha dealers couldnt compete with those down south and it ended up flying down to London and buying his bike there. It did however give him the ideal opportunity to test it out. By the time he drove it home to Inverness, it was due its first service. His intention is to buy some luggage for it this year and do a bit of touring, probably Ireland or France. He would be grateful if anyone who has purchased luggage for their XJ900 Diversion can recommend - or not - the type they purchased.
Scotland - Kilmarnock: Will Samson [17-Aug-07] 2007
Hi i've got a 1999 divvy 600s.. it's silver with a candy red frame, was this a limited edition, as i've yet to come across another one this colour.it is a factory paint job and hasn't been repainted.. i've streetfightered it, but still have the fairing.. if anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated( pics available) many thanks Will Samson
Scotland - Lochgilphead: Colin Bromley
Colin has a '96 900 Diversion, (Green) and it is his first bike after having been away for biking for many (15) years! He is a lawyer in the Scottish Highlands and uses his bike every day (unless it is snowing!). Then he borrows a car.... Age 39 (really)
Scotland - Livingston: Duncan Hanning [28-Mar-09] 2009
XJ600S 1999. Twin front disks. Oil cooler. Motad 4 into 1 exhaust. Fairing/tank resprayed white. A 63 year old's fair weather indulgence! But I'd almost forgotten how much fun they are to drive!
Scotland - Moffat: Iain Norel-Wilson [03-Apr-00]
XJ900S Diversion owner, living in Moffat, Dumfriesshire (South West Scotland). I have now completed 16000 miles (25k km) on my 1998 Navy Blue machine. I use it for commuting (during the non-winter months) and the odd very short weekend trip (when time and other activities allow). I still enjoy archery, good food and good wine, and in 2000 I want to take the Institute of Advanced Motorists test for motorcycles. I have dreams of taking longer trips, but work seems to get in the way a lot.
Scotland - Stonehouse: Duncan Macintosh [16-Sep-00]
I have just bought a XJ600s Divvy after being out of biking for 4 years. Now being back I'm really enjoying my new bike, rain or shine. I have had to get an other exhaust for it which I got from a breakers in Devon. If you are looking for any good second hand parts look under "part search" who search breakers all over the UK and will send it up to you. Bye and happy biking
