Foreign Diversion Owners

 Italy
Italy - Bellinzago Lombardo: Federico Felici [17-Dec-00]
Hi, I own a gray 600 Divvy and I use it mainly to commute. Greetings to everybody.
Italy - Cagliari: Stefano Olla [12-Jun-97]
Stefano's Divvy is a green '94 XJ600S. On the other hand, he thinks he's not so green... 33 years old. He likes the Divvy very much and it likes him too. After 43,000 km it still looks pretty new. It's c.v.: 1994: Portugal; 1995: Czech & Slovak Republics; 1996: Greece; 1997? (maybe Slovenija and Austria)
Italy - Caronno Pertusella: GianLorenzo Caccia [27-Apr-97]
GianLorenzo is 25 years old, has a degree in Economics and works as Quality Consultant. He has a Diversion 900 and likes to travel a lot. In just one year and 10 months he has done over 31.000 Km all around Europe with his girlfriend and his XJ. He uses it everyday, during winter too and finds it precious to avoid traffic jam in Milan as to cross France in just one day..... He's glad to have found out that YDCN did such site for Diversion.....great!! Visit his website and don't forget to e-mail your impressions!
Italy - Cocconato d'Asti: Giacomo Aula [06-Oct-99]
Hi everybody ! My name's Giacomo; I'm a musician from Italy. I love travelling; I did it a lot with my past bikes. Now I'm going to buy a Diversion 900 and so I would like to be in touch with so many nice owners. Ciao!
Italy - Milano: Matteo Armellin [22-Jul-99]
Hi, here's a new 900 Diversion owner... I've bought it (..her) yesterday second hand, 22.000 km. In the first 200 km I've done taking Div at home, seems to be a very balanced bike, comfortable also at high speed. But what impressed me the most is the confidence this big and heavy bike gives from the first ride. More than the Honda ST and the BMW 1100 GS and RS. I would like to receive some suggestion on the tires, higher windscreen (I'm 1.92 m tall), and maintenance tips (I'm looking forward to do it myself, as I'm doing with my old but still fine Kawa KLR 650). Thanks & best wishes of great rides to everybody!
Italy - Latina: Marco Benatti [16-Nov-97]

Italy - Milano: Mauro Marini [24-Jun-99]
Hi! I've got a 1993 red Diversion 600, and I'm quite happy of it. I say "quite" because of the high price of spare parts: two euros and a half for one plastic "expanding" screw (I nedded 10 of them), 390 euros for a half front fiberglass shell (the part containing the plexiglass airstar, don't know the exact english name)... Is it the same for not-japanese bikes?
Italy - Milano: Paolo Baglioni [16-Jan-98]

Italy - Naples: Tiberio Tiberti [08-Jan-99]

Italy - Parma: Marco Malpeli
Marco thinks he has a fantastic motorbike, the beautiful, marvellous, the only one Yamaha XJ600S Diversion. You can think he is crazy but there are only 3 'mitos' in his life: his girlfriend, the Parma football team and last but not the least, his Yammy XJ600 Diversion. He is 27 years old and also interested in hydrocarbon reservoir numerical simulator.
Italy - Roma: Enrico Caruso [26-Jan-00]
Hi! My name is Enrico Caruso, I m 34 and I recently bought a 1993 Xj 600. I love it, even if right now is very hard to go around, due to the low temperatures....last Sunday I took a ride around Rome, but after one hour I was more or less like an ice cream!! Can you help me? I would like to have infos and suggestions on how to improve my bike and how to maintain it. See you soon!
Italy - Roma: Fabrizio Borraccia [26-Nov-99]
Male, age 37, press officer in Rome, married with 1 child aged 7. Owner of a XJS 600 / 1997 colour red. Prevalent urban biker (home-job-home) with frequent little trips for seaside and countryside (Tuscany)
Italy - Roma: Paolo Cassese [02-Oct-98]
Paolo wrote: Ciao! I just read your mailing list and I'd like to be included in. I own a marvelous black 900s (I bought it on february '98, 15.000 km.) and I'm very proud of it. I also had Honda 500 Four, Honda CB 450 DOHC, Guzzi 500 C, CX 500 and XJ 750 Seca; at this time my bike runned already 24.000 km (without problems) and the only real obstacle to me is rain. I ride since 1970 - I always did it as a single - and I really think that I couldn't stand without bike. Nowadays I'm looking around for a group or a club, because I think that riding with other bikers must be the best. I've been many times in Amsterdam, and I'm planning to go again. Would be fine to meet you next time. Bye! Paolo
Italy - Roma: Marco Benedetti
Marco likes the "Diversion owner" section of this webpage and asked me to put him also on. He lives in Roma and his last bike is a grey 1995 XJ600S. (he got his first bike in 1973...). He is particularly interested in sharing information about add-ons for the Diversion, as full fairings, saddle bags, etc. With his italian friends he founded an Internet Bikers club called "Piano Ma Pieni" (Slow But Full... It means that they like to make gastronomic trips, so they drive back from restaurants very slow, as they are full of food. :-)) They also have a Web Page (only in Italian at the moment...) for their Piano Ma Pieni Internet Bikers Club. He had seen the new bikers dictionary and apreciated it very much. He asked if there is interest in the italian translation? Depends on how many italian readers we have.
Ciao from Marco.
Italy - Roma: Corrado Fiori [21-Aug-98]
Corrado wrote: I've got a Diversion 600, I think it's a wonderful motorbike. During 2 years I driven it for 30.000 km without any problem..... better then a BMW.
Italy - Padua: Roberto Berritta
Roberto is an Italian Student of Mechanical Enginering in Padua. He has an XJ600S since 1992 and is very happy with it. He has only one little problem with his exhaust pipe. The rear end is quickly losing all its chrome surface and the iron is coming out. It probably should be replaced soon and he asks if he should buy an original Yahama exhaust pipe (expensive?) or are there alternatives. If anyone can advise him, please write to him.

Stefano wrote: I got my 98 Diversion 600 in the beginning of February . I'm studying for my Ph.D. in Physics, and I plan to use the moto every day to go to the University, as well as doing some traveling with my girlfriend Antonella.
Italy - Trieste: Piero [31-Jan-00]
Hey I'm Piero, I ride a '96 Diversion 900, I ride about 20.000 km in a year, I've been riden all over the Europe (Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Finland, Croatia, Spain, Austria) and also in Morocco last summer. Perhaps this year I'll go to Morocco again.
