NewYear's meeting in ShooterS BACK TO INDEX
17-jan-99 The YDCN Newyearsmeeting this year was in our Regio Café West, in the wellknown restaurant ShooterS. We expected 50 people and 50 people came.
17-jan-99 Beautifull good bike weather this year. 7 degrees and dry so many came by bike.
17-jan-99 After the official reception we moved to the café.
Technical Evening at Safe Veenendaal BACK TO INDEX
29-jan-99 As Technical Evenings are limited to a maximum of 30 people, we had to organized a 2nd one. Also this time the meeting was held at Safe Veenendaal with their full and enthousiastic cooperation.
29-jan-99 30 YDCN members could ask their questions and 3 mechanics of Safe gave answers. As the picture shows, a lot of notes were made.
29-jan-99 And if possible, the answer was not only given in words but also demonstrated. Here a Diversion XJ900S was partly dissassembled to reach the battery.
29-jan-99 Also a Diversion XJ600S was available, on this picture to show the maintenance of the chain.
Motorcycle exhibition "Motorbeurs Utrecht" BACK TO INDEX
25-feb-99 New this year our own (yellow) YDCN motorcycle exhibition counter. It was built by Eddy van der Meer and the painting and airbrush work was done by Lida van der Kolff. We urgently needed this as it makes the stand more professional and we need the space in it. It's a very smart construction and it fits into a Fiat Uno. Also this year, due to circumstances, a double floorspace.

25-feb-99 As special attraction we had a Diversion XJ900S with luggage trailer in the stand. The tow bar is constructed by Eddy van der Meer, the bike and trailer were lend.
Regio Café OOST, castle of Doorwerth BACK TO INDEX
14-mar-99 We were very lucky on the 14th of March as it was excellent weather, sunny, dry and reasoable temperature. Around 40 (!) people took the bike to the beautiful location our regional café, the castle of Doorwerth. The minstrels are taken care for some mediaval music and atmosphere, although that kind of music is not everybodies choice.

Kennemerland tourride BACK TO INDEX
05-apr-99 The club is growing fast. In the early days we had 20-30 visitors on a tourride. Nowadays this number is around 60-70. Even though a bike is small, this gives some parking problems.
05-apr-99 The police gave us some time to park the bikes somewhere else, otherwise we would be fined...
05-apr-99 Three Diversions with sidebike were among the attendees.
05-apr-99 Notice the two old people. First a little bit scary for all those leather boys but soon cosy and interested conversating with us.

17-apr-99 The usual picture of all the bike in front of the meeting place. And every year it becomes more and more.
17-apr-99 Picture inside the meeting room of restaurant Flora. It's not a real restaurant by a room, mostly rented to clubs like ours. Time has stand still here for over 40 years which makes it so special.

17-apr-99 After the meeting we had two technical sessions. First came William Hogervorst with his 2nd bike (beside a XJ900S), a motorcycle with diesel fuel. Very special...
17-apr-99 After telling something about the technique about this diesel motorcycle and anecdotes it was time for a demonstration.
17-apr-99 Second technical topic was held by WP Benelux. They produces front and back suspensions, ofcourse also for the Divy. This got a lot of attention as weeks later people still discussing about it and adjusting their back suspension.
Intercom (bike-2-bik) Testday BACK TO INDEX
25-apr-99 The location of the YDCN bike-2-bike wireless Intercom testday, the new building of the Bike+ motorcycle shop in Oss.
25-apr-99 Three firms were demonstrating their products. Here Motorcom from Den Haag demonstrating their products.
25-apr-99 ECAS Nederland (EARmo) has a Youpiterou LPD with a interesting solution. The microphone is situated in the earphone. Pitty enough the results were very poor but that could be because the earphone did not fit as well as special made for someone's ear.
25-apr-99 Here a very 'basic' set what we had in mind, a LPD (Kenwood Funkey) with helmet speakers (2x) and microphone.

14-may-99 In front of the (youth)hostel "Wigledam" in Sneek at the start of 11 cities tourride
14-may-99 The was a 'mini Sneek-week' on friday which mean that there was live music in the pubs. The Irish pub 'Wapen van Kleef' can be recommend.
15-may-99 Requested by many, the group photo made on saterday. The enlarged copy is 800x600 and can easily be used as wallpaper.
